Great suggestions.

I often find that people are so interested in getting a job and yet they show no interest in finding out the name of the person to whom they should address the resume, they don't really know what we do as a firm, and they don't check their resumes or portfolio for spelling errors.

All three of those errors guarantee no interest or return calls from our company.

Also, I recommend a great book, "Be A Shortcut." This is the perfect book to read for a job hunter in a difficult job market. You have to stand out, and show what you can do for the company. Be different, be confident and be giving.

The article, from a students' viewpoint, was very helpful. The downturn in the economy has many students wondering what direction to take. To know that the possibilities available rely on our inginuity and willingness to work are reassuring. Thanks!

I have to say this is some really good article. Very often designers face different problems and that doesn't apply to just a few. I appreciate these tips, thanks DT.
