Hi Dang Vo,
I’ve emailed you.

Hi Csven,
Nice to hear from you. Sorry there was no recording set up. Anyways there were some confidential stuff as well. What I’ll do though is get Erik to do a review cos I saw him there?

Okay here is the requested review of the presentation…

Well, I have heard D.T. given a similar presentation like this about one year and a half year back in NUS when I did a Sound Vision Project in collaboration with Nakamichi. It was also through that project that I have gotten to know D.T.

The presentation brought back lots of good old memories in NUS. And I was once again reminded of the quote: “Brand is the silent ambassador of a company as well as the brand personalities of Nakamichi. D.T. also showed us those old-fashion looking products before he joined the company vs. the red-dot award winning products since he joined the company. It is without question that Nakamichi’s design has evolved under the leadership of D.T. And it is definitely for the better!

D.T. also gave us a preview of some of his company’s upcoming products in 2007. Such as the one which D.T. has already put up earlier, the Nakamichi Kimono TV.

Like its predecessor, the Nakamichi Lumi TV, the screen panels are made of nine-coated black lacquered woods similar to those in pianos. They are entirely hand made and finished by skilled craftsmen. It is definitely a great way to once again remind the consumers that Nakamichi only produces high quality and premium products.

Well, in the whole, the presentation is still an enriching one despite that it was almost like I heard it for a second time. Though I think some of the students might have found some difficulty in understanding some parts such as the business strategies and the company positioning.

Anyway a point to add just before I end here, “if you think Nakamichi is only focusing on new television designs now, then you are absolutely wrong! Wait till you see their new Phoenix Speakers!
