Feel the Gravity Chair on your feet

Have a look at this multi-functional chair from Norwegian baby products maker Stokke.

It has a very unique and interesting leg design that allows for the user to position the chair in a “work” mode, a “pondering” rocking mode and most importantly the “sleep” horizontal mode. The only problem I have is that this is an accident waiting to happen. It will be a matter of time before the you would rolls over somebody else’s foot or your own when you jump forward with that “Eureka” idea! Worst you could bash some poor soul in the gut when you adopt that horizontal mode.

Shouldn’t a baby product maker know that toddlers have a tendency to walk around uncontrollably and are most of the time less than 100cm tall? But hey, that horizontal position looks inviting dont you think?

Maybe a floating experience, but don’t you think they are on the ugly side…? A little better in black though.

You can’t have everything! This is the best in terms of (multi)function+comfort+good design I have ever seen. And noone says that you should use it where toddlers are around - in every house there are potential dangers for toddlers, but that does not eliminate the quality of many products. I wish I had it in my office/livingroom/bedroom or wherever I need it.

Could anyone who actually tried this chair tell me if it rocks smoothly? I mean the base is not smooth has some sharp bends…

Thanks for visiting. I think the sharp bends are intentional as it prevents the chair from rocking so far back!
