Now for a nice change of pace, occasionally I get a flash of something that inspires me to take of an everyday product and re-design it with a twist. I had intended for it to become one of my first few simple easy to make products to kick off my other career as a design entrepreneur.
Well I’ve been sitting on it for almost 8 months so I thought it would be nice to post it here for some feedback. I may continue this trend by posting some of my other non-work related designs if this effort turns out well.
What could a busy self-respecting designer do? Besides it would be a great experiment in Viral Marketing would it not?
Avid readers of my blog (of which there just a few) and my friends all know I have a love and hate relationship of the Apple iPod. In particular I dislike its planned obsolescence, as well as its obnoxiously high prices. This got me thinking there must be a group of people in the Cult of the Mac that love the iPod but can’t really afford it.
