I wanted it the look different from the usual web 2.0 monochromatic, greys, blues, reds and glossy chicklets. You know making it look fresh and such. I suppose it does make it look chaotic. Color scheme is a little chaotic. Too many striking colors IMO, but that gives it a very fresh feel. Doesn't score high on aesthetics but definitely highly readable and that's more important.
