Oh dear, just one day late, but I like to announce that one of my posts has been selected for a Blog Carnival called, “The Carnival of the Mobilists”. My first ever and not only that, I have been awarded a “Posting of the Week”!

This week’s Carnival of the Mobilists No 61 is hosted at Wireless World Japan, do check it out for the latest well written and insightful articles on mobile products and lifestyles.

Just in case, if you do not already know, let me quickly explain what a blog carnival is. Accordingly to Wikipedia:

A Blog Carnival is a type of blog event. It is similar to a magazine, in that it is dedicated to a particular topic, and is published on a regular schedule, often weekly or monthly. Each edition of a blog carnival is in the form of a blog article that contains permalinks links to other blog articles on the particular topic.

Basically members of the Carnival take turns in hosting the Carnival, and by having the Carnival’s unique articles travel to different hosts, and with other members linking back to the original site or host, being part of a Carnival could grant a lot of good positive publicity (not to mention links) for your blog. Thus I highly recommend you to take part in one that is related to your favorite topic, however the prerequisite is writing good content.

Wow I’m now really tempted to start a Design Blog Carnival, what do you dear readers think? Want to take part?

This is a great idea! With the increasing number of design blogs found online these days, I think it is good that there is a design blog carnival to spot good design blogs. I have personally enjoyed reading and learning from your design blog. And i know of other good design blogs that can be featured too. I would be keen.

Thanks for the compliment. I actually write for this design blog with a few of my good friends. It was my good friends who set it up, and then I joined in.

It was through writing design posts in this blog that I discovered my love in writing. I especially enjoy writing about design management and designer tools, of which I often write on tips which helps designers realize more about their design abilities and letting people understand more about the traits of a real design working environment.

I agree with what you say about the need of featuring more design tools to help young designers learn how to “rule the world’. There is truly a great need for that. So, this design blog festival will be a good jumpstart.
